Signage

The other day I was in a Captain D's and noticed that their employees were wearing corporate T-shirts. On the back was printed "Hand Battered Since 1969." To this I have three points.

1) If I wore a shirt that had those words then someone would express the obligation to arrest my parents for 50 years of abuse.

2) Why do I want a phrase that associates someone else's hand with my food.

3) Is there any other way to batter a fish? Why is it important to state the obvious?

Remember, someone thought that this slogan was a good idea, and someone else approved it.
