Duck for Dinner

The Peabody Memphis Hotel in Memphis is famous for its ducks who live upstairs. Twice a day, these ducks get on an elevator and go downstairs to waddle in a pool. Videos of this are on the web.

A friend of mine visited this hotel several years ago. She was waiting for the elevator during a non-duck time. The car arrived and the doors opened. Out stepped the famous chef, Julia Child, who went on her way.

Apparently, customers were very anxious for a few hours until the ducks finally came downstairs. All of them.
